School has started!

Hello Firefly Families,

We are so excited for the 2017-2018 school year!

Our weekly themes for the month of September are Getting To Know You, Apples, Autumn, and Spheres & Balls Study. We will be playing name games, tracing and painting the shape of our bodies, conducting an apple taste-test, creating autumn leaf rubbings, making our own bouncy balls, and so much more.

Please bring an extra set of clothing for your child on the first day of school. Clothes can be put in a large zip-lock bag with your child’s name on it. These clothes will be stored in the classroom and will be given back to you at the end of the school year. If you child wears diapers or pull-ups, please bring a separate labeled bag full of these to be kept at the school.

If you have not completed and returned a 2017-2018 registration packet or turned in your child’s immunization records yet, please do so. Extra handbooks are available at the school or can be downloaded from our website: http://fireflyacademy.com/.

Attached is a one page handout of important dates for the school year, including holiday closures and school breaks.

Connect with us on Facebook for photos, updates, and special events happening at Firefly throughout the school year.

We will be offering Wooden Boat Festival and Film Festival Camps this month. For more details, please see below.

Wooden Boat Festival Camp September 8 and 9

Hours for the camp are 8:30am- 9:30pm on Friday, September 8th and 2:00pm- 9:30pm on Saturday, September 9th*.

We have various options for payment: You can use punchcards, pay hourly, or buy an unlimited weekend pass for $100.
